The residencies and projects that we accompany intend to present Coimbra with different artistic formats that allow a connection with society, based on global concepts but with local implications, in this case, democracy, as a vitally important factor for the development of the space of citizenship.

Developed within the scope of our biennial programming cycle that begins with the Linha de Fuga laboratory and festival, we invite artists for local residencies that allow the development of their projects in a relationship and dialogue with society, in order to understand the extent of the concept of contemporary dance, but also of the relationship with other artistic formats that assume a thought from a global body. We promote and support projects with different manifestations and formats of contemporary performing arts, in addition to the more conventional ones, in order to develop a connection between the city and an artistic area little explored there, contemporary dance and performance.
