Bosque de Clarice Lima será apresentado dias 27 e 28 de Maio pelas 13h e 15h30 em The Bentway, Toronto, Canadá.
Depois das primeiras apresentações de 2023 no Festival Sismògraf,em Espanha, “Woods” de Clarice Lima segue para Toronto onde será apresentada no âmbito do programa Beyond Concrete de The Bentway. Uma festividade para a receçãodo Verão, onde arte pública, performances, festas e conversas serão apresentadas.
No festival Sismògraf contámos com um grupo maravilhoso de pessoas que se juntaram para lançar a mensagem desta performance, um apelo artístico à consciencialização ambiental. Em Toronto temos já 40 pessoas inscritas para participar!
“Bosque” é uma pesquisa de Clarice Lima que une dança e artes plásticas para criar uma paisagem única nas cidades, perseguindo a ideia de impermanência e instabilidade do corpo, natureza, clima e práticas coletivas. Pensada para o ar livre, envolve a participação da população local com o intuito de fazer uma declaração poderosa e forte. De cabeça para baixo, o corpo inverte o espaço e questiona o tempo. Por quanto tempo o corpo pode resistir? Por quanto tempo a floresta pode resistir?

Bosque de Clarice Lima will be presented on the 27th and 28th of May at 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm at The Bentway, Toronto, Canada.
After the first presentations of 2023 at the Sismògraf Festival, in Spain, “Woods” by Clarice Lima goes to Toronto where it will be presented within the scope of The Bentway’s Beyond Concrete program. A festivity for the summer reception, where public art, performances, parties and conversations will be presented.
At the Sismògraf festival we had a wonderful group of people who came together to launch the message of this performance, an artistic appeal to environmental awareness. In Toronto we already have 40 people registered to participate!
“Bosque” is a research by Clarice Lima that unites dance and plastic arts to create a unique landscape in cities, pursuing the idea of impermanence and instability of the body, nature, climate and collective practices. Designed for the outdoors, it involves the participation of the local population in order to make a powerful and strong statement. Upside down, the body inverts space and questions time. How long can the body resist? How long can the forest resist?
