No dia 11 de agosto, Romain Beltrão Teule (criador) & João Maria André (filósofo) falaram sobre o tema «Do Doppelgänger à manipulação - onde está a verdade e o que é ficção?», na sessão «Conversas com a Academia», integrada na Residência Artística do Romain em Linha de Fuga.
O Doppelgänger é uma figura que aparece na literatura fantástica desde o século XVIII, um sósia ou duplo não-biologicamente relacionado de uma pessoa viva, por vezes retratado como um fenómeno fantasmagórico ou paranormal. Esta é uma figura presente na criação de Romain e que servirá de mote para dissecar o significado da dobragem, duplo, manipulação e fake. Nesta realidade onde as redes sociais e a criação de uma imagem de si vão para além da esfera espacial local, o que podemos dizer que é real e ficção? E que significado tem nas nossas vidas?

On August 11, Romain Beltrão Teule (creator) & João Maria André (philosopher) spoke on the topic “From the Doppelgänger to manipulation - where is the truth and what is fiction?” in the session “Conversations with the Academy”, integrated into Romain's Artistic Residence in Linha de Fuga. The Doppelgänger is a figure that has appeared in fantastic literature since the 18th century, a non-biologically related double of a living person, sometimes portrayed as a ghostly or paranormal phenomenon. This is a figure present in Romain's creation and that will serve as a motto to dissect the meaning of folding, double, manipulation and fake. In this reality where social networks and the creation of an image of oneself goes beyond the local spatial sphere, what can we say is real and fiction? And what meaning does it have in our lives?
