Andrea Sonnberger formou-se como bailarina em Viena e Munique, tendo trabalhado como performer na Áustria, Alemanha, Suíça, Rússia e Lituânia. Desde 1996 tem trabalhado nos seus próprios trabalhos que também se traduziram em instalação e colaborações com outros artistas. Foi membro do Tanztendenz Munich e.V., espaço de ensaio e encontro para coreógrafos e bailarinos e, durante alguns anos, membro da direção desta organização. Em 2005/06 foi convidada juntamente com o coreógrafo brasileiro Gustavo Ciríaco para o projeto Encontros Imediatos em Lisboa, onde desenvolveram a performance ao ar livre Aqui enquanto caminhamos. Juntos, desenvolveram outro projeto chamado Vizinhos. Atualmente vive na Áustria principalmente como praticante de shiatsu, onde ensina Tai Chi Dao Yin, planta ervas, cuida de um mercado local e trabalha com pessoas com deficiência e idosos.
Andrea Sonnberger trained as a dancer in Vienna and Munich, having worked as a performer in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Russia and Lithuania. Since 1996 she has been working on her own works which have also resulted in installation and collaborations with other artists. She was a member of the Tanztendenz Munich e.V., a rehearsal and meeting space for choreographers and dancers and, for a few years, a member of the board of this organization. In 2005/06 she was invited together with the Brazilian choreographer Gustavo Ciríaco for the project "Encontros Imediatos" in Lisbon, where they developed the outdoor performance "Here Whilst We Walk". Together, they developed another project called "Vizinhos". She currently lives in Austria primarily as a shiatsu practitioner, where she teaches Tai Chi Dao Yin, grows herbs, runs a local market, and works with people with disabilities and the elderly.
